Nelson Residence

The views were primary to this project. The house was oriented on the site to relate to Sarasota Bay and Big Pass. Deep sheltering of the exterior rear spaces provided a spatial continuity to the interior, affords a plentiful amount usable exterior space, and offered the interior spaces protection from the harshest exposure to the sun. The architectural vocabulary is bold; it uses clean, crisp lines and a minimalist manner of surface expression.
